We began business in the Taisho Era as "Lion Movies", a manufacturer and seller of what are now known as movie projectors. The Nakamise Branch 2 opened as a flagship store in Showa 3 (1928). In Asakusa, the Mecca of moving pictures, audiences enjoyed watching sword fights and cartoons shown with these projectors. Sometimes, tourists standing in front of the store wonder out loud, "What kind of shop is this?" We hope that you will find the answer in the spirit that lay behind our establishment.
