Sakai Kokodo Yamafuji

Traditional crafts

This venerable ukiyo-e print shop, founded in the third year of the Meiji Period (1870), opened its doors on Asakusa's Nakamisedori in 2007. Reproductions of many ukiyo-e woodblock prints are exclusively available here, including works from famous series such as Katsushika Hokusai's "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" and Hiroshige Utagawa's "Fifty-three Stages of the Tokaido." We also offer postcards depicting Asakusa in the Edo Period, more than 100 varieties of greetings card, and of course, original ukiyo-e prints from the Edo Period. Feel free to drop in.
